About Us
Background: Diane Beeler is a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers and a published garden writer with over 25 years’ horticultural experience, including residential and commercial design and maintenance. She also recently became a member of the Board of Directors of the Ventura Botanical Gardens.
Diane says "My love of plants began on our family farm in the Sacramento Valley at an early age. I am a passionate gardener who has created and maintained beautiful gardens in the hot, dry summers and freezing cold winters of the Santa Clarita Valley, as well as in the mild, foggy climate and heavy clay soil of Ventura. I studied landscape design and horticulture at College of the Canyons and Ventura College. In 2005, I researched, developed and documented an Integrated Pest Management Plan for a Ventura landscape maintenance company as a requirement of their contract with the City of San Buenaventura. I speak on a variety of garden subjects throughout Ventura County. Also, I lead elementary and special education students on field trips at the University of California Hansen Agriculture Center, teaching plant parts, pollination, harvesting and nutrition." |
